Common Questions About Counselling

 What is counselling?

A safe, confidential space to talk things through. I’ll help you explore what’s going on and support you in finding your own way forward.

Do I need counselling?

If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or just not yourself, counselling can help you make sense of things and find clarity.

Will you “fix” me?

No one needs fixing. You already have what you need — my job is to help you access it, understand it, and use it.

What happens in a session?

You talk, I listen. Together, we make sense of what’s happening. You set the pace and the topics.

How long is a session?

50 minutes. Long enough to go deep, short enough to stay focused.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your goals — some people come for a few sessions, others stay longer. We’ll decide together as we go.

Is it confidential?

Yes. Everything stays between us, except in rare cases of safety or legal requirements — I’ll explain this clearly from the start.

How do I start?

Book a free 30-minute chat. We’ll talk through what’s brought you here and see if we’re the right fit.

What’s the first session like?

A relaxed, honest conversation about what’s happening for you and what you’d like to change. No pressure, no judgement — just a first step forward.
